Nothing much but a crisp fall/winter/December day?  I don't even know what season we're in because one day it'll be in the low 30's... cold, drab, wet, icy.... then the next day it'll be sunny and in the 70's.  Bi-polar weather sucks.

#50 Gearing Up

I've been busy going around to all these sports stores buying snowboarding gear.  Today's mission was to find some pants and Gortex waterproof Burton gloves.  Both items were successfully found!  Did you know that when you join membership for REI, you are really joining into a co-op so they give you back 10% of any full item you pay for? We were pleasantly surprised when the lady told us that we had $24 in credit... so my $100 pants that were on sale for $74, were really just $55 in the end. :)  Happy deal.

I really miss this warm day which was only a few weeks ago.  I just finished reading The Hunger Games and I'm starting on Catching Fire.   I couldn't put the book down for the first book, and I even lost some sleep because I wanted to know what would happen next.  Can't wait until the movie comes out!

This Saturday was a blur... all I remember was that it was SO much fun.  Danced around in my booties all night.  They were pretty comfortable, but towards the end of the night, it was pretty much impossible to walk.  I just gritted my teeth and stomped on forward.

#43 Saturday

Days are getting shorter, and the air is getting cooler each day.  I think it is about 10 degrees cooler at my house/in my driveway than it is outside of my neighborhood because I was BURNING up in the sweater underneath my jacket.  Good thing I had a tank top on so I could take off the sweater in the car... (green house effect= HOT).  I finally picked up my Chanel babies and they are good and ready to go for tomorrow.  I'll have to be super careful not to be stepped on since the leather is so fragile.  I hope it doesn't give me unnecessary stress. lol.

#30 Summer Jaws

Hola!  I had a very relaxing day today and mainly because I didn't get up early to go to church.  I know I should NEVER skip church but today was an exception.  Only 1 allowed per year.  It's not such a good idea to run a 10K marathon on Monday and then go out dancing on Saturday night in high heels.  I about collapsed last night because my knees gave in when I tried to squat down to rest myself.  I had to have my bf pull me back up and even with help my knees were in so much pain.  But other than that I had a lot of fun last night (t'was an unexpected night of going out.)  We went to this underground club where Dubstep was the DJ and then had an appearance by Gucci Mane.  I know, so ghetto right? haha, well this IS the dirty south, what can I say?

Playing around with the iPad checking Twitter.  I found out that Victoria Beckham and Natalie Portman gave birth today.  

Stopped by the local hardware store to check on plants and succulents to buy for my bf's grandma's birthday, and got a damn mosquito bite on my leg.

Enjoying the Korean-brand popsicle called Jaws!  The blue outer layer was an orange flavor while the inside was strawberry.  Interesting how blue=orange flavor.  :) 

#29 The Back Pack

I usually do not carry around a backpack.  Scratch that well I don't carry it around even more now that I have graduated from college, but for some reason I felt like I wanted to today.  My outfit was very odd to me because it wasn't the usual me.  The skirt was tight to the point where you could see my outline (awkward), and I wore high socks with my sneakers (unheard of for me).   I realized that I don't care anymore of what others might think or how weird I might look.  I was very comfortable yesterday. :)  


Summer is slowly coming to an end.  I have exactly 3 more weeks before I start working again and get back to the grind.  I love my job, I seriously do.   I don't know what other job gives you the entire summer off!  I need to wear all the things that I WANT to wear now before I have to switch back to how I HAVE to dress.  It would honestly be AMAZING if Shopbop or Net-a-Porter, or ANY BODY really could do a lookbook for educators.  Professionalism+comfort+getting down and gritty+oomph.  Please oh please!!!!  It's my second year now as an educator and I am still trying to build my work wardrobe LET ALONE my usual wardrobe so can you imagine all the things I'm looking forward to?? Out with the old and in with the new! 


Btw:  I called a particular store in NYC today and put my name on their waiting list for some amazing shoes I am DYING to get my hands on.  I've thought about it through and through, I've even waited a week to see if I really wanted it, and yes, I Still want it SO BAD!  I just hope they don't keep me waiting forever....  dream bag will have to be on hold.

I actually went shopping today and bought a few things.  I've been wanting to get a long, black maxi dress so I finally buckled down and got one.

#23 A Dash of Coral

I seriously have a weird smirk on my face.  M and I made a quick run to the grocery store to buy lightbulbs.  I definitely felt cooler in a holey shirt and skirt in this 97 degree weather.   Lemme just say that it is not only hot here, it is also HUMID!  The humidity increases the heat by at least 5 degrees.   It's been scheduled to thunderstorm here for 10 days straight.  Uhh... I have a scheduled field trip with my kids this Wednesday to the pool.  I definitely don't think lighting bolts and water will go well together.    On another note, I'm definitely looking forward to/ NOT looking forward to the 4th of July weekend.  I AM looking forward to the BBQs, drinks, and fireworks, but I am not looking forward to the Peachtree Road Race 10K on the 4th at 8am.  Even if it is in the morning I know it'll feel like treading in a warm jacuzzi.

This was the longest break in record history for Thanksgiving.  Usually we're off starting from Wednesday, but because of the budget cuts, we all get to play a few extra days. : )


This is my first post for a new start.  I've had a blog before but ditched it due to other priorities, but I want to give it another shot.  This time it's better because I have a partner to update the blog with.
